The Sonquipaug Association is a private residential community located on the eastern shore of Watchaug Pond in Charlestown, Rhode Island.
The Association prides itself on a warm and friendly spirit in harmony with this beautiful natural setting, where neighbors respect one another and enjoy socializing with one another.
Purchase of any property on Sonquipaug Road, Ellen Drive, Jacqueline Lane, Michelle Lane, Ricks Road, or Susan Circle automatically enrolls the owner(s) as Member(s) of the Sonquipaug Association, giving them the benefits and responsibilities of Membership under the terms of our By-Laws and Rules.
This site’s primary purpose is to provide services to our Members. If you are a Member, you will find information for your use, including a calendar of events. Our site provides a means for you to communicate readily with the Sonquipaug Association Board of Directors and your Sonquipaug neighbors.
The site also has some basic information about the Sonquipaug Association for the general public.
We hope you find it easy to use, informative, and reliable.

For New Members

Watchaug Pond
Watchaug Pond is part of the Wood-Pawcatuck Watershed. It is the second-largest natural body of fresh water in Rhode Island, with a surface area of 573 acres. It is a significant resource to southern New England, and we urge all who use the pond to take care to guard its purity,

Directions
To reach the Association from the westbound side of Route 1 in Charlestown, RI:
Turn right on Prosser Trail, just after the exit for Kings Factory Road. Follow Prosser Trail for about a mile and look for the signposted entrance to the Sonquipaug Association on the left.

Boating and Dock Facilities
The Sonquipaug Association maintains limited dock facilities within its property for small boats, kayaks, and canoes owned by its Members.
Our dock and beach facilities are available only to Members of the Association.
